Making Meaningful Change Within the Lives and Communities We Serve

Our Philosophy

We, the Charmettes, hold fast to the notion that all citizens regardless of social/economic status, age, or race should have easy access to quality healthcare, a healthy body, and a healthy, stress-free environment.  We further believe that citizens should have the opportunity to receive a quality education within the realm of ability.  We believe also that women of similar philosophies should combine resources and efforts to search out and identify any obstacles which prevent the accomplishment of the above.  It is our firm belief that through our collective, creative endeavors we can become a moving, viable force and indeed can make a difference.

Our Mission

The Charmettes, Incorporated is a non-profit sisterhood of dedicated women committed to enhancing the quality of life within the various communities served by chapters and on the national level.  Our commitment to serve is exemplified by providing educational opportunities, financial resources for scientific research and active involvement in Charmettes' endeavors which are designed to improve the quality of life.

Our Guiding Principles

  • Our commitment and dedication are to our organization, our members and to our communities

  • We welcome, value and support the diversity of skills, expertise, tools and networks of strong African American women who make up our membership

  • We recognize the importance and benefits of supporting the eradication of cancer and partnering with historically black colleges and universities and others, who share our values and support our mission

Our Chapter

The First Coast Chapter of the Charmettes, Inc. is a non-profit, 501c-3 organization of dedicated women committed to enhancing the quality of life within the surrounding community of St. Augustine, Florida. Founded in 2007, we have made tremendous impact to individuals and families within our community.

The core of our work lies in the continuous passion and dedication we bring to the range of projects we take part in to contribute to cancer research; focus on the health and well-being of those in our community; and recognize, uplift and empower those navigating through significant health and life challenges.

Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a meaningful difference in the lives of others.
